Volleyball Team Takes Two at Own Invite

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team ran its record to 13-16 overall by winning a pair of matches at the Elmhurst College Invitational.
The Bluejays defeated Concordia University-Chicago 30-16, 33-31, 30-21 in their first match of the night. Elmhurst closed out day one with a 32-30, 30-12, 30-28 win over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
In the win over Concordia, Alison Friedrich (Wadsworth/Zion-Benton) led the way with eight kills and three aces while Kassie Soderstrom (Lombard/Glenbard East) added 23 assists and eight digs.
In the Bluejays' victory over UW-River Falls, Morgan Jones (Seymour, Ind./H.S.) led the way with eight kills and five blocks while Caitlin O'Hara (Lemont/H.S.) pounded down 11 kills and recorded three blocks.
Tomorrow, the Bluejays will face the University of Chicago (10:00 a.m.) and Wheaton College (12:00 p.m.).
