Elmhurst's Hennessey Named CCIW Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst College's Lauren Hennessey (Lombard/Glenbard East) has been named the CCIW Player of the Week in women's tennis.
Hennessey, a freshman, went 3-0 this weekend against Illinois Wesleyan University and Millikin University. She and Kristin Leninger (Forest Park/Trinity) earned an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles against Millikin. In the Bluejays' 6-3 loss to Illinois Wesleyan, Hennessey accounted for two wins. She earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles and also teamed with Leninger to earn an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
