Women's Tennis Team Ties for Sixth in CCIW
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team tied for sixth place at the 2007 CCIW Championships.
The Bluejays tied Millikin University with five points. Wheaton College won the team title with 69 points.
Alex Stark (Batavia/H.S.) was the top performer for the Bluejays, taking home fourth-place at No. 4 singles. Stark advanced to the third-place match on the tournament's second day by scoring an 8-6 win over North Central's Melissa Lewis in the playback round. Stark dropped the third-place match to Augustana's Emily Doemland 8-6.
