Women's Soccer Team Closes Out Season With Win

DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's soccer team closed out the 2007 season with a 2-1 win at Millikin University. The win gave the Bluejays a 6-11-1 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the CCIW. Millikin dropped to 12-7-0 with the loss.
Millikin outshot Elmhurst 26-8 in the contest, but the Bluejays defense held off the Big Blue until the 84th minute.
Elmhurst jumped on the scoreboard immediately as Kelsey Caldwell (Plainfield/Central) scored 1:03 into the match.
The Bluejays tacked on a goal in the 73rd minute when Elyse Cudone (Charleston/H.S.) netted a score.
Millikin's Allison Horne scored in the 84th minute to cut the Elmhurst lead in half, but the Big Blue could get no closer.
Jessica Eberle (Bloomington, Ind./North) and Allison Korbel (Schaumburg/H.S.) combined for eight saves in goal for the Bluejays.
