Paul Webster
Head Coach

Paul Webster returns for his fifth season as the head coach of the Bluejay women's soccer team.

Webster's 2007 Elmhurst squad posted a 6-11-1 record and placed fifth in the CCIW. In four seasons at Elmhurst, Webster has guided the Bluejays to a 29-39-5 overall record. Webster has coached four all-conference and one all-region players in his time at Elmhurst.

Prior to becoming the fourth women's soccer coach in Elmhurst history, Webster spent nine seasons at Elon University. In 12 seasons as a collegiate coach, Webster has an overall record of 103-119-14.

At Elon, a Division I institution, Webster’s teams captured four conference championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 1999. He compiled an overall record of 74-80-9 along the way.

He guided Elon to back-to-back South Atlantic Conference championships in his first two seasons, earning SAC "Coach of the Year" honors in 1995, and NSCAA Division II South Regional "Coach of the Year" accolades in 1996. After Elon moved up to the NCAA Division I level in 1999, Webster guided the Phoenix to an NCAA Tournament appearance when they captured the Big South Conference Tournament Championship.

Webster's 2000 team captured the Big South regular season championship while returning to the tournament championship game. He guided the Phoenix to their third straight Big South tournament championship game in 2001, earning Big South "Coach of the Year" honors while capturing the regular season title along the way.

Prior to joining Elon, Webster spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. He began his coaching career at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Fla. He coached the girls' squad for five seasons, compiling a record of 83-25-3. He guided the team to the state tournament's final four in 1989 and was selected as The Gainesville Sun's Girls High School Coach of the Year four times (1990-1993).

Webster also served two years as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Speed of the USISL Women's Premier League. In addition, he has served as an age group coach in the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) for five years He has continued his work with the ODP since coming to Elmhurst. He continues to serve as an age group coach and is on the region II ODP staff.

Webster earned a bachelor of science in exercise and sports sciences from the University of Florida in 1989 and a master of arts degree in teaching from Queens College in 1996. He also holds an NSCAA premier diploma and was recently named the NSCAA Technical Director for the State of Illinois.

A native of Miami, Fla., Webster and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in the Chicago area.

 
 

Amy LeFurgy
Assistant Coach

Amy LeFurgy returns for her third season as an assistant coach after enjoying a successful four-year career on the field for the Bluejays. LeFurgy was a two-time second-team all-conference honoree as a goal keeper.

LeFurgy totaled a school-record 30 career shutouts in goal for the Bluejays while posting a school record 1.23 goals against average. She holds the school's single-season record for saves (175) and shutouts (10). She earned all-conference honors in 2003 and 2005.

LeFurgy works as the assistant director of internet marketing for the College.
