Women's Golf Team Takes Eighth At RMC Invite

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill.  - The Elmhurst College women's golf team kicked off the 2007 season by placing eighth at the Robert Morris College Invitational.  The Bluejays shot a combined 374.  St. Joseph's College (Ind.) finished seventh with a 363. Bethel College (Ind.) won the event with a 318.

Leading the way for the Bluejays was Emily Labrecque (Battle Creek, Mich./Lake View), shooting an 85 to tie for 13th place. Kelly Partyka (Wood Dale/Lake Park) shot a 94 to tie for 35th place while Abby Gammage (Farmer City/Blue Ridge) shot a 97 to place 45th. Whitney Heinzmann (Steeleville/H.S.) shot a 98 to take 46th place while Maggie Stevens (Elmhurst/York) finished in 47th place with a 100.

The Bluejays will compete at the Benedictine University Invitational on Tuesday, September 4.
