Bluejay Golfers Place 14th at Millikin Invite
DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's golf team shot a combined two-day total of 729 to place 14th at the Millikin University Big Blue Fall Classic.
The Bluejays shot a 366 on the tournament's first day and fired a 363 on day-two of the invite.
Emily Labrecque (87-86) and Whitney Heinzmann (89-84) both shot an identical 729 to tie for 36th place. Amanda Wright added a 190 (95-95) to tie for 82nd place while Abby Gammage placed 88th after shooting a 193 (95-98). Trisha Goss rounded out Elmhurst's scoring by shooting a 204 (102-102), good for 101st place.
Jorianne Maritato and Courtney Classen finished within a stroke of one another while competing as individuals. Maritato shot a 199 (98-101) to place 96th while Classen fired a 200 (98-102) to place 97th.
Elmhurst closes out the fall season by golfing at the CCIW Championships on October 2-3.
