Women's Golf Team Takes Sixth at Own Invite

OAK BROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's golf team shot a one-day total of 368 to place sixth at the Elmhurst Bluejay Classic.
Lewis University won the invite with a 326 while Wheaton College placed second with a 333.
Emily Labrecque was the top finisher for the Bluejays, shooting an 85 and tying for 12th place. Abby Gammage and Amber Remblake shot an identical 94 to tie for 36th place while Whitney Heinzmann and Kelly Partyka each fired a 95 to tie for 42nd place. Courtney Classen rounded out the Bluejays' scoring with a 103 (tied for 54th place).
A second Elmhurst team placed ninth with a 394. Amanda Wright and Trisha Goss both shot a 93 to pace the second team and tie for 31st place. Jorinanne Maritato shot a 103 (tied for 54th place) while Christine Moran added a 104 (59th place). Heather Flanigan (110 - 65th place) and Devin Wangler (112 - 67th place) rounded out the Bluejays' scoring.
Elmhurst golfs at the Millikin University Invitational on September 26-27.
