Women's Golf Team Wins Own Invite

OAK BROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's golf team shot a school record low 339 to capture the team title at the Elmhurst College Bluejay Classic.
The Bluejays' 339 set a new school record for lowest 18-hole team score, breaking the former mark of 348 set earlier this season.
North Central College placed second with a 349, while St. Francis placed third by shooting a 350.
Emily Labrecque (Battle Creek, Mich./Lake View) and Kelly Partyka (Wood Dale/Lake Park) both shot an 81 to tie for second place and lead the Bluejays to the win. Whitney Heinzmann (Steeleville/H.S.) shot an 85 to tie for sixth place while Abby Gammage (Farmer City/Blue Ridge) fired a 92 to place 15th. Amber Remblake (Lake Zurich/H.S.) tied for 16th place by shooting a 93, while Devin Wangler (Harvard/H.S.) tied for 21st place by shooting a 103. Competing as an individual, Heather Flanigan (Streator/Fieldcrest) also tied for 21st place with a 103.
Elmhurst competes at the CCIW Championships on October 3-4.
