Women's Golf Team Takes Ninth at Millikin Invite
DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's golf course shot a two-day score of 696 to place ninth at the Millikin University Fall Classic.
The Bluejays were back on the links for the first time in over two weeks after rain forced the cancellation or postponement of the past two scheduled tournaments.
Abby Gammage (Farmer City/Blue Ridge) led the Bluejays by shooting a 170 (89-81), tying for 27th place in the process. Emily Labrecque (Battle Creek, Mich./Lake View) finished only one stroke behind Gammage, shooting a 171 (87-84) and tying for 31st place. Kelly Partyka (Wood Dale/Lake Park) tied for 51st place with a 178 (88-90) while Amber Remblake (Lake Zurich/H.S.) tied for 65th place with a 183 (87-96). Whitney Heinzmann (Steelville/H.S.) rounded out the Bluejays' scoring by shooting a 185 (95-90) and tying for 68th place.
The Bluejays host the Elmhurst College Invitational on Tuesday, September 30.
