Bluejay Bowling Team Takes Two From UW-Whitewater

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College bowling team upped its record to 57-37 by sweeping a pair of matches from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Elmhurst won the standard five-player match 1043-932 with four Bluejays bowling over a 200. Bethany Holden rolled a career-high 257 to pace Elmhurst in the win. Shannon Grimes and Sarah Paul each rolled a 213 while Amanda Warwick added a 202. Becky Wright rounded out the Bluejays' scoring with a 158.

The Bluejays scored a 4-2 win in the best-of-seven Baker match. Elmhurst dropped the first game 193-212, but then took game two 244-194, and won game three 237-171. UW-Whitewater just edged the Bluejays 180-171 in game four. Elmhurst scored a 204-188 win in game five, and won the match with a 235-163 victory in game six.

Elmhurst, ranked 16th in the latest NTCA poll, travels to Wisconsin-Whitewater on March 7.
