Lyndsie Long Named to All-CCIW Third Team
ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst women's basketball player Lyndsie Long (Sugar Grove/Kaneland) has been named to the CCIW's all-conference third team.
In her first season with the team, Long started all 25 games and averaged 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. She ranked second on the team in points scored and led the squad in 3-point shooting. In league games, she ranked ninth in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game.
Earlier in the season, she was named a CCIW Player of the Week after leading Elmhurst to a pair of wins and earning Tournament MVP honors at the Cal. Tech Tournament.
A four-year letter winner at Kaneland High School, Long scored over 1,500 points in her high school career, earning all-conference honors all four seasons.
The Elmhurst College women's basketball team closed out the 2006-07 season with a 6-19 overall record.
