Women's Hoops Team Rips MSOE 86-47

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's basketball team won its second straight contest by hammering the Milwaukee School of Engineering 86-47.
Elmhurst (3-5) led from start to finish, jumping out to a 16-1 lead and never looking back.
The Bluejays shot 44.3 percent (35-of-79) from the field and 27.8 percent (5-of-18) from beyond the arc. MSOE (0-9) shot only 38.6 percent (17-of-44) from the field and 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from 3-point range.
Elmhurst dominated on the glass, outrebounding MSOE 49-29. The Bluejays pulled down 24 offensive rebounds, leading to 28 second chance points.
Sarah Halbrader (Loves Park/Rockford Boylan) led the Bluejays with 15 points in 18 minutes of play. Halbrader shot 6-of-11 from the floor and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Brittany Bobruk (Darien/Downers Grove South) and Lyndsie Long (Sugar Grove/Kaneland) each dumped in 14 points. Bobruk shot 7-of-13 from the floor and pulled down nine rebounds while Long shot 5-of-12 from the field and grabbed eight boards.
Christine Randick (Downers Grove/Immaculate Conception) came off the bench to score 11 points while Anna Randazzo (Des Plaines/Maine West) shot 4-of-4 from the floor and added 10 points.
MSOE was led by Dana Guthrie's 14 points. Mindy Donald chipped in 13 points for the Raiders.
