ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 92-60 blowout win over Wisconsin Lutheran College.

The Bluejays led wire-to-wire and never trailed in the contest.  Elmhurst led 47-27 at halftime and led by as many as 33 points in the game. Elmhurst's bench outscored both Wisconsin Lutheran's starters (40 points) and bench (20 points) by scoring 49 points.

Elmhurst (2-0) enjoyed one of its best shooting performances in years, shooting a blistering 58.6 percent (34-of-58) from the floor and 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from 3-point range. The Bluejays were also 14-of-15 (93.3 percent) from the foul line. Wisconsin Lutheran finished the game shooting 45.1 percent (23-of-51) from the floor and 30.8 percent (4-of-13) from beyond the arc.

Sarah Halbrader (Loves Park/Rockford Boylan) came off the bench to tie a single-game record with six 3-pointers. Halbrader led all scorers with 18 points. Lyndsie Long (Sugar Grove/Kaneland) added 16 points while pulling down a game-high nine rebounds. Amber Hendricks (Farmer City/Blue Ridge) added 15 points of the bench on 7-of-8 shooting. Brittany Bobruk (Darien/Downers Grove South) scored 12 and recorded five steals while Candice Sutton (Matteson/Rich South) added 10 points and eight assists in the victory.

Kristen Dillon led Wisconsin Lutheran with 17 points while Britany Lindert scored 16.

The Bluejays host the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Monday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m.
