Track Teams Compete at Indoor Chicagoland Championships
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Chicagoland Indoor Championships at Lewis University. The men's team finished 10th while the women's squad placed 16th.
On the men's side, the Bluejays totaled 13 points behind a pair of top-10 finishes. Pat Austin (Yorkville/H.S.) placed second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 12:22.95. Brian McConnell (Delavan/H.S.) finished the mile run in fourth place with a time of 4:21.81.
On the women's side, the Bluejays placed 16th with one point. Michelle Smith (Berkley, Mich./H.S.) scored the Bluejays' lone point by placing eighth in the 5,000 meters in 12:21.9.
