Oster and Corsello Qualify For Nationals

MEQUON, Wis. - Elmhurst College wrestlers Jake Oster and Mark Corsello have both qualified for the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships by winning their respective weight classes at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.

Oster, a two-time All-American, earned his third straight trip to the NCAA Championships by winning the 125 pound weight class. He unbeaten on the season by posting a perfect 3-0 record at the regional. In the championship match, Oster pinned Augsburg's Seth Flodeen (the defending national champion) in 2:10.

Corsello, who earned his first All-America honor last season, earned his second straight trip to the NCAA Championships by winning the 285 pound weight class. He defeated Augsburg's Andrew Witzel 3-2 in the championship match. He posted a perfect 3-0 record at the regional.

Jake Denhof added a fourth-place finish at 133 pounds while Charlie Curran placed fourth at 149 pounds. Greg Horn placed fourth at 165 pounds while Rob Lejman finished fifth at 141 pounds.

The NCAA Championships will be held on March 6-7 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
