Cross Country Teams Run at UW-Parkside Open
KENOSHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst College men's and women's cross country teams returned to action by competing at the UW-Parkside Invitational. The men's team placed 15th with 392 points while the women's squad finished 19th with 544 points.
On the men's side, the Bluejays totaled 392 points to take 15th place. Pat Austin led the Bluejays with a ninth place finish. Austin crossed the finish line in a time of 26:01. Brian McConnell added a 91st place finish in 28:05 while Jeff Camp placed 109th with a time of 28:20. Bob Spelich placed 116th (28:26) while Nathan Selling rounded out Elmhurst's scoring with a 151st place finish in 29:07.
The Bluejay women placed 19th with 544 points. Katlyn Bednarski was the top finisher for Elmhurst, crossing the finish line in 19:35, good or a 43rd place finish. Megan Johnson placed 81st in 20:19 while Laura Grabowski finished 152nd in 21:15. Shauna Patrowski took home 160th place with a time of 21:22 while Amanda Anderson rounded out the Bluejays' scoring with a 221st place finish in 22:27.
Both teams will run at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational on October 18.
