Faretta & McPherson earn All-CCIW Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – A pair of Elmhurst College tennis players have been named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's (CCIW) all-conference team. Dan Faretta (Panama City, Fla.-Arnold) and Anthony McPherson (Glen Ellyn-Glenbard South) were both named as first-team selections.

Faretta finished his senior season with a 15-7 overall record at No. 1 singles. He also compiled a 15-7 mark at No. 1 doubles, teaming up with McPherson.

McPherson, a junior, led the team in overall singles victories, racking up an impressive 19-4 overall record, including an 18-4 mark at No. 2 singles. McPherson was also impressive in doubles play, compiling a 16-7 overall mark at No. 1 doubles.

The Bluejays finished the 2006 season with a 16-6 overall record and placed fourth at the CCIW Championships.
