Warren Named CCIW Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst men's soccer player Randy Warren has been named the CCIW's Defensive Player of the Week.

A junior defender, Warren played a big role in a pair of Elmhurst victories last week. On Wednesday, he anchored an Elmhurst defense that allowed just one goal in a 2-1 victory over Edgewood College. In the win over Edgewood, Warren registered an assist on the game-winning goal with less than two minutes to play. On Saturday (September 26), Warren scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 80th minute in Elmhurst's 4-3 victory over Augustana College.

Elmhurst currently has a 6-2-1 overall record and a 1-0-0 mark in league play. The Bluejays are ranked sixth in the latest NSCAA Central Region poll. Elmhurst plays at the University of Chicago on Wednesday, September 30.
