Bluejays Play Wheaton to Scoreless Draw

WHEATON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team played Wheaton College to a scoreless 0-0 draw, moving to 3-4-3 overall. The Bluejays are now 1-0-1 in the CCIW.
Wheaton (5-4-1, 1-0-1 CCIW) outshot Elmhurst 21-7 for the match, including a 9-2 advantage in the second half and a 7-1 edge through the two extra periods.
Elmhurst goalkeeper Britt Blackwell (Lake Zurich/H.S.) recorded seven saves in goal to help preserve the shutout.
The double overtime contest marked the fifth time in 10 games that the Bluejays have gone to exta time. Elmhurst is 0-2-3 in overtime this season.
The Bluejays continue CCIW play next week when they play at Illinois Wesleyan University on October 4.
