Men's Soccer Team Falls to Whitewater 3-1

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team dropped to 3-6-4 on the season following a 3-1 loss to UW-Whitewater.
Whitewater grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute of a Nathan Haas goal.
Elmhurst got a break to net the score in the 61st minute. Matt McKinnis (Clayton, Ohio/Northmont) launched a corner kick into the box that was headed into the net by a Whitewater player for an own goal.
After a red card was issued to the Bluejays, UW-Whitewater capitalized on the man advantage scoring in the 84th minute on a Kyle Bast goal. The Warhawks tacked on one more on Ben Volz's goal in the 87th minute.
Britt Blackwell (Lake Zurich/H.S.) recorded five saves in net for Elmhurst.
