Men's Soccer Team Blanks Principia

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team ran its winning streak to seven games with a 2-0 shutout win over Principia College. The Bluejays improved to 11-4 overall while Principia slipped to 6-7-2. Elmhurst remained unbeaten (14-0) all-time at Langhorst Field.
Luke Vidakovich (Wood River-Marquette Catholic) put the Bluejays up 1-0 in the 15th minute when he scored off a feed from Aaron Rossi (Peoria-Peoria Richwoods).
Tommy Gilbert (Canyon Country, Calif.-Canyon) made it 2-0 in the 54th minute when he scored from 35 yards out on a direct kick.
Elmhurst outshot Principia 28-7 in the match.
Britt Blackwell (Lake Zurich-H.S.) notched his fourth shutout of the season in goal for the Bluejays.
The Bluejays (4-0 in the CCIW) resume league play on Friday, October 21, when they host Wheaton College at 3:30 p.m.
