Jon Brehm Earns All-Region Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst College soccer player Jon Brehm has been named to the all-North Central Region third team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The award is Brehm's second consecutive all-region honor, after earning first-team all-region honors in 2007.
Brehm, a sophomore midfielder, earned his second consecutive first-team all-conference honor earlier this season. Brehm led the Bluejays with 16 goals and 35 points. He also totaled three assists. He led the CCIW in goals scored and ranked second in the league in total points. A CCIW Offensive Player of the Week selection earlier in the season, his 16 goals this season is a new single-season Elmhurst record. Brehm has scored 30 goals and totaled 71 points in two seasons with the Bluejays. He holds Elmhurst career records for goals (30) and total points (71).
Elmhurst closed out the 2008-09 season with a 12-6-1 overall record.
