Pair of Bluejay Soccer Players Earn All-CCIW Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. - A pair of Elmhurst College men's soccer players have earned all-conference honors from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Jon Brehm was named to the all-conference first-team, while Jake Pahr earned second-team honors.
Brehm, a sophomore midfielder, earned his second consecutive first-team all-conference honor. Brehm led the Bluejays with 16 goals and 35 points. He also totaled three assists. He led the CCIW in goals scored and ranked second in the league in total points. A CCIW Offensive Player of the Week selection earlier in the season, his 16 goals this season is a new single-season Elmhurst record. Brehm has scored 30 goals and totaled 71 points in two seasons with the Bluejays. He holds Elmhurst career records for goals (30) and total points (71).
Pahr, a junior forward, earned his second straight all-conference honor after being named to the first-team in 2007. Pahr finished the season with nine goals, four assists, and 22 points before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. In three seasons with the Bluejays, Pahr ranks second in career goals (27) and total points (66).
Elmhurst closed out the 2008-09 season with a 12-6-1 overall record.
