Men's Soccer Team Climbs National Rankings
ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team jumped six spots in the latest NSCAA/Adidas Division III National Poll. After cracking the top-25 for the first time last week, the Bluejays moved up to 16th place in this week's poll.
The Bluejays, who are in just their fifth year of varsity competition, were ranked 22nd last week.
Elmhurst also moved up in the latest NSCAA Central Region Poll. The Bluejays moved up to second in the poll after holding the third spot in the rankings last week.
The Bluejays have jumped out to a 7-0 start to the 2008 season. Elmhurst has outscored its opponents 41-1 and currently leads the nation in scoring offense, averaging 5.86 goals per game.
The Bluejays host the University of Chicago on Wednesday, September 24, at 4:30 p.m.
