Men's Soccer Team Rips Augustana to Stay Unbeaten in CCIW Play

ELMHURST, Ill. - Jon Brehm (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) scored three goals while leading the Elmhurst College men's soccer team to a 5-0 shutout win over Augustana College.
Elmhurst (11-1-1 overall) stayed unbeaten in the CCIW, moving to 4-0-0 with the win. The Bluejays scored three times in the first 17 minutes to jump out to a 3-0 lead and cruise to the victory.
Kevin Davey (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay) started the scoring in the seventh minute off feeds from Brauch Marvin (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) and Brehm.
Brehm made it 2-0 in the ninth minute when he scored of an assist from Marvin. Jake Pahr (Cary/Cary-Grove) scored in his seventh straight game by scoring in the 17th minute off assists from Marvin and Brehm.
Brehm tacked on a pair of goals in the second half, with Pahr earning an assist on the first goal and Yousef Aliakbar (Perrysburg, Ohio/Maumee Valley Country Day) earning an assist on the second floor.
Britt Blackwell (Lake Zurich/H.S.) recorded five saves in goal while notching Elmhurst's eighth shut out win of the season.
Elmhurst hosts Beloit College on Wednesday, October 10.
