Men's Golf Team Wins Elmhurst Invitational

OAK BROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's golf team captured its first ever team title at the Elmhurst College Invitational. The Bluejays fired a 308, winning the team title by 11 strokes over second-place University of St. Francis.

Elmhurst's previous highest finish was second-place in 2003 when they shot a 314, finishing five behind Division II Lewis University.

Scott Nowicki (Elmhurst-York) led the charge for the Bluejays, shooting a 75 to finish in a four-way tie for second place. Kyle Mann (Hinsdale-Central) finished two strokes behind in a tie for sixth-place with a 77. Kurt Dietrick (Oak Lawn-Richards) and Matt Cantrell (Addison-Addison Trail) each shot a 78 to tie for eighth place. Anthony Pryor (Carol Stream-Glenbard North) fired an 82 to tie for 20th place.

The Bluejays will compete at the CCIW Championships this weekend in Pontiac, Ill.
