Men's Golf Team Takes Eighth at St. Francis Invite
JOLIET, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's golf team began the 2008 fall portion of its schedule by placing eighth at the University of St. Francis Fall Classic.
Elmhurst finished the one-day tournament with a 307. St. Ambrose University won the team title with a 292.
Seth Birkholz (Forreston/H.S.) was the top finisher for the Bluejays. Birkholz placed sixth overall with a 72. Ben O'Bryan (Mainesville, Ohio/Moeller) tied for 40th place with a 77 while Scott Stastny (McHenry/East) shot a 78 to tie for 49th place. Josh Magee (Ionia, Mich./H.S.) tied for 64th place with an 80 while Tyler Qahhaar (Lombard/Glenbard South) rounded out the Bluejays' scoring with 87 (tied for 90th place).
