Men's Golf Team in Eighth After First Round of CCIW Championships
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's golf team sits in eighth place after the first round of the CCIW Championships.
The Bluejays shot a two-day total of 645 (319-326). Elmhurst is four strokes behind seventh-place Augustana College. Illinois Wesleyan University led the first round with a 590, followed by Carthage College's 591.
Kurt Dietrick (Oak Lawn/Richards) leads the Bluejays with a 155 (77-78), good for an 18th-place tie. Seth Birkholz (Forreston/H.S.) is in 28th place after shooting a 162 (81-81) while Dan Roth (Plainfield/H.S.) sits in 32nd place with a 164 (80-84). Josh Magee (Ionia, Mich./H.S.) is tied for 35th place with a 166 (81-85) while Kyle Mann (Hinsdale/Central) is tied for 38th place with a 168 (85-83).
The second round of the CCIW Championships will be played on May 2-3.
