Bluejay Golf Team Finishes Third at Millikin Invite
DECATUR, Ill. - The men's golf team wrapped up the rain-shortened Millikin University Big Blue Spring Classic by tying for third place. The Bluejay shot a two-day total of 499, just seven strokes behind team champion Lindenwood University's 492.
The tournament's second day was shortened from 18 holes to nine due to rain.
Kurt Dietrick (Oak Lawn/Richards) tied for ninth place by shooting a 122 (80-42). Dan Roth (Plainfield/H.S.) fired a 124 (80-44) to tie for 15th place. Seth Birkholz (Forreston/H.S) finished with a 126 (86-40) to tied for 22nd place while Josh Magee (Ionia, Mich./H.S.) added a 127 (87-40) to tie for 28th place. Kyle Mann (Hinsdale/Central) tied for 75th place by shooting a 137 (84-43).
Elmhurst's "B" team finished in 17th place, led by Scott Stastny's (McHenry/H.S.) 124 (82-42).
