Bluejays' Amrbiz Named CCIW Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst College's Patrick Ambriz (Wausau, Wis./East) has been named the CCIW's Defensive Player of the Week in football. Ambriz earned the honor for his part in Elmhurst's 36-13 win over the University of Chicago on Saturday.
Ambriz, a senior safety, finished the game with six solo tackles, including two quarterback sacks. He also picked off a pass at midfield and returned it 30 yards to the Maroon's 20-yard line, setting up an Elmhurst touchdown.
The Bluejays are off to a 2-0 start to the season and host Olivet College on Saturday, September 22, at 12:00 p.m.
