Williams Named CCIW Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst football player Scottie Williams has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week.

Williams, a freshman running back from Downers Grove, totaled 200 yards and three touchdowns in Elmhurst's 47-10 victory at North Park University on Saturday (October 17). Williams rushed 14 times for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also catching three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 11.1 yards per carry and scored on runs of 35 and four yards. He caught a 26-yard touchdown pass to account for his third score of the game. Williams also returned three kickoffs for 63 yards in the win.

Williams is the Bluejays leading rusher this season, carrying the ball 70 times for 404 yards. He has rushed for four touchdowns while averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Williams has also caught 13 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Elmhurst (4-2 overall, 1-2 in CCIW competition) hosts Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 24.
