Volleyball Team Sinks Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The seventh-ranked Elmhurst College volleyball team got back on track by defeating Lake Forest College 3-1 in non-conference competition. The Bluejays improved to 14-3 with the 30-26, 26-30, 31-29, 30-27 win.
Sarah Nelson (Lakefville, Minn.-H.S.) recorded 22 digs in the win while Melissa Dell (St. Louis, Mo.-Nerinx Hall) added 16 digs. Katie Ackerman (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.-H.S.) added six blocks while Lindsay Johnson (Rockford-Boylan) added 50 assists.
Carly Bearwald (Northbrook-Glenbrook North) led the team with 18 kills. Ackerman added 12 and Nicole Carlson (Forreston-H.S.) finished with 11
The Bluejays host Wheaton College on Tuesday, October 4.
