CCIW Men's Basketall Tournament Information
ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's basketball team, ranked 21st in the latest D3hoops.com poll, will face Augustana College in the first round of the 2009 CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament.
The first round games will take place on Friday, February 27, at Wheaton College.
Tip-off of the Elmhurst/Augustana game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Top-seed and tournament host Wheaton College will face North Central College in the tournament's second semifinal, slated to begin at 8:00 p.m.
The championship game of the tournament is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at 7:30 p.m. The CCIW Tournament winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Tickets for the upcoming CCIW Tournament will be available on a first-com-first-serve basis and will be available for purchase beginning at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 27 and at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 28. No advance tickets will be sold. The ticket price is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors, and students. Children under eight-years-old will be admitted for free. Students of CCIW institutions will be admitted for free with valid school identification. No CCIW parent passes or other free passes will be honored and fans must enter through the main doors of Wheaton's Sports and Recreation Complex.
