Elmhurst Baseball Team Falls 10-4 at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst College baseball team slipped to 8-15 overall and 3-9 in the CCIW following a 10-4 loss at Carthage College.
Carthage (22-0, 12-0 CCIW) jumped out to 7-1 lead before Elmhurst scored three times in the final two innings.
Jim Deschamps (Glenview/Glenbrook South) and Mike Goltz (Neenah, Wis./H.S.) banged out three hits apiece to lead the Bluejays' offense in the loss. Deschamps smacked his fourth home run of the season.
Matt Seroka (Chicago/Brother Rice) took the loss for the Bluejays. He allowed four hits in and two runs in 3.1 innings of work. He walked four while striking out three.
Elmhurst hosts Aurora University on Wednesday, April 16, at 3:30 p.m.
